John Lennox Cummings, who goes by Lennox, graduated summa cum laude from the College of Charleston Beatty School of Business with a 3.95 GPA. He was nominated to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, which recognizes the top 10% of seniors, and was named a Merit Scholar. He earned his degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and minored in Spanish. His fluency in Spanish was helpful during his trips to Spain and Mexico, as well as when working with coworkers.

Lennox Cummings worked as a Tax/Accounting Intern at a financial advisory firm in Charleston, where he expanded his knowledge of financial planning and became skilled in QuickBooks and Intuit Tax software. He prepared tax returns for 17 C corporations, with an average turnaround time of 13 days, and for over 200 families, achieving a 5-day average turnaround time. His work contributed to a 100% client retention rate with no audits.

Previously, he interned at a finance and client relations firm that shares his last name, although there is no family connection. He supported 137 client relationships and assisted with financial reviews and internal fee audits for assets over $400 million.

Cummings is a certified Public Notary in South Carolina. Additionally, he worked as an Inside Sales Intern for a real estate company, making 250 calls per day using Sierra Interactive to find potential home buyers and sellers, achieving a 7% lead qualification rate.

In summer 2023, he served as a Store Experience Guide for a well-known outdoor retail company, regularly exceeding daily sales goals of $15,000. He also worked as a Server Assistant at a Charleston seafood restaurant. He served as District Manager for a landscaping company in North Carolina, managing finances for over 60 properties across three counties. His first job was as a cashier at the age of 16 in Asheville, where he also assisted with digital and social media marketing.

John Lennox attended an all-boys boarding school in Asheville as a Headmaster Scholar and was a member of the National Honor Society. He volunteered regularly at his church’s outreach program, helping the homeless, contributed to Habitat for Humanity’s home-building efforts, and tutored special needs students in his community.

After Hurricane Helene affected his area, he donated to a local nonprofit and helped sell community-themed stickers with his sister, directing all proceeds to relief efforts.
